About
How I came to practise this way
I'm a naturopathic doctor in Vancouver, originally trained and licensed as a family physician in Argentina. I see patients at two clinics here, in English or in Spanish, and I offer general naturopathic care for a wide range of health concerns.
I trained and practised as a family physician in Argentina for several years, and I liked the work. I could diagnose, prescribe and follow the protocol, and still, a part of what the person in front of me was going through had nowhere to go.
What stayed with me was how often someone would come back a third time with the same fatigue, the same digestive complaints, the same anxiety, and I didn't have much to offer beyond another prescription for the symptom. I wanted to be able to look further than that.
What I went looking for
India, and then Nepal
That is what took me outside what I had been taught. I studied Ayurvedic medicine in Argentina and in India, and sound therapy in Argentina and in Nepal, where I started working with Tibetan singing bowls. I have practised with them for more than ten years now.
What kept me with the bowls is that they gave me a way to help a system settle when nothing I could say or prescribe was going to do it on its own.
Starting again
Canada
When I moved to Canada, instead of pursuing a licence as a family physician here, I chose the path that was closer to the kind of doctor I wanted to be. I studied again at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto — clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine and lifestyle medicine — and I'm now a registered naturopathic doctor in British Columbia.
What I was looking for, all along, was the bridge I always imagined: a place where evidence-informed natural medicine meets therapeutic sound, where science and intuition work together instead of competing.
In practice
How I work
I believe healing happens most effectively when the nervous system feels safe enough to let it. That belief is why the first visit is sixty to ninety minutes with most of it you talking, and why the plan I write for you afterwards is built around the life you actually have, in the order that makes sense for it.
- I can work alongside your family doctor, not instead of them.
- I don't sell supplements.
- I order lab testing only when the result would change what we do.
- If I'm not the right person for what you have, I'll say so early.
Healing is not one-dimensional
Neither is my approach. And neither are you.
